AP popcorn buckets

The promo for the $1 refill offer on AP popcorn buckets was published yesterday June 9th. Are these still currently available for sale? Do these ever sell out?

Also, is the bucket itself tied to the AP of the purchaser? I'm arriving on June 26 and will miss purchasing one for myself by one day as the sale ends June 25. However, my nieces who are also AP holders are there at DL now.

Once the promo ends they won't refill it, so it doesn't matter which AP purchased it. They were out of the previously announced MSEP buckets in DL, but I'm pretty sure they haven't run out of the Marvel ones in DCA yet.


Edit: Oh, I see, they're only going to sell the buckets through June 25th. The first time they didn't scan APs. Then second time they ran the promo they scanned APs. I doubt they're keeping track of which APs bought a bucket. Will your nieces be there with you at all? Worst case only get refills when they're with you if they somehow track which AP actually bought it this time. I also doubt they're really going to stop selling them on the 25th if their existing stock hasn't sold out by then.

Are the ap buckets smaller than the normal popcorn buckets?

I haven't compared this round, but the first 2 are the same size as some older buckets I bought years ago. The regular white buckets, not the premium containers like the 60th balloon TIE fighter or Cinderella's coach.

Your niece can buy you a bucket and you can use it when you. At least we have been able to do that in the past.

The buckets are not tied to the purchaser's pass. I bought our bucket, but DH has been able to fill it several times, no questions asked. CMs only care that the buyer actually has a valid pass when purchasing a refill.

Just returned. Our bucket is Summer of Heroes.
They asked for AP and ID every time.

They ask for AP and ID to verify that the refiller has a valid AP, not to ensure that purchaser and refiller are the same person. My husband refilled the bucket I bought yesterday twice today without question.

We purchased one and have multiple families with aPs with us and we have all filled it up. They don't track who purchased it.

We bought a refillable bucket on Main Street a few weeks ago. They did ask for AP, but that is just to make sure you have one. The bucket is the same size as a normal popcorn bucket. They can't be used at Cozy Cone, only at the popcorn kiosks.

Thanks for all your replies. I had my niece pick one up for me before they left the park yesterday. Can't wait to use it in 2 weeks. My son devours Disneyland popcorn so he's happy as well.
