AP package rate & Dining plan

I was just looking at some past AP rates and packages on mousesavers and it said you can't buy the dining plan when you book your room using an AP rate is this true? Thanks

You cannot add dining to an AP room. Dining can only be added to a package and AP is not considered a package since it is room only. the only way around this is with staying DVC, then it doesn't matter what kind of ticket you have.

Thanks...So are you saying that if I say rent points and stay at a DVC I can add the dining plan on or do you mean I'd have to book a package and pay rack rate for it. Thanks
