I know, I have asked this a million times on here and I am in panic mode because we leave in a week.....we are a family of 4, we will go in august, and my husband and i will go by ourselves in April and then again with the boys in august. We figured my husband and I would do Annual Passes, as we can get them through AAA in florida for about $445 each and get 3 visits out of 'em...is it worth it to do that? or try for a great bounce back in april while on this trip next week? we have been going every april and august for the past 2 years and have never gotten a bounce back <someone on DIS finally told me you have to ASK for it :confused3> So those that are AP experts, which is best?

thank you thank you again for helping with this!!

PS...I KNOW there is a cheshire cat out there somewhere with a great scenario :thumbsup2

For me, I get the AP because I want the room discount and to be eligible for Tables of Wonderland (20% off food)... and all the other little discounts and perks that are available.

Plus. Sometimes silly cheap airfare comes up, and I like the ability to POOF! be there without worrying about the cost of the ticket - I've already spent that money!

I think the general rule is that if you go for more than 10 days, within a year's time, and go back year after year, the AP is worth it - especially if you are in a position to re-up the AP year after year and take advantage of the renew discounts.

thanks for the response! so the room discounts are pretty good and comparable to bounceback or AAA rates?

Don't know if they've changed it, but when we were there 3 weeks ago the bounceback was only through the end of the year.

I guess you just have to figure out how many days you will be in the parks, then run through different ticket scenerios now that the 2010 ticket prices are out. If the AP's come out to be a better deal, definately go for those.

If you get AP's, you can still book a bounceback deal (if available) ... then decide between the bounceback deal and the AP rate as your dates get closer. AP rates for mods and deluxes in August have been very good for the past 3 years and I suspect they will be pretty good in August 2010.
