AP MagicBands Clips

The passholder slider has been a money saver for use several times now. When Hubby was at checkout, the cast member saw the passholder slider on his band and asked him if he was a passholder and wanted the passholder discount! Happened twice last weekend. We forget to ask everywhere we go for our discount but it's nice to have that slider for a visual!!!:smickey:

OP here. My box is a normal box with nothing about Passholder on it. There are no discount cards or clips...I have unfolded every piece of the box I could unfold. I did customize our bands, but I did not do it through the Passholder site. FWIW, our passes are not yet "activated" I only have the green voucher cards. I wonder if this is something I can receive at Guest Services when I go to activate the vouchers?

If it's the Mrs. Incredible packaging, those MagicBands are for your resort stay. This packaging will not have the Passholder Sliders or Discount Card.

Once you activate your passes, there should then be a pending MagicBand order for the 'Passholder Affiliation' on the MDE website.

As for the physical MagicBands (resort & passholder), there is no actual difference except for the packaging. All MagicBands assigned to an individual can be used interchangeably.

You don't get your AP band until you activate your ap voucher on your first visit.

So if you just bought the AP and are staying Onsite, you'll get to customize your resort band before your stay. Then after you activate Ap, the ap band customization will show up on mdx

Yeppers. LOL You don't get the actual passholder clip and card until you activate.

activate and then go into MDE to verify shipping address and request that they be shipped. Customizing them is optional, but we customize now to keep them sorted. My first MB had only my name and when we had a second resort stay, I wanted to know which was the new band (even thought all of my MBs linked to me on MDE will work interchangeably). (e.g. My resort band for June said 6Linda14, but my AP band says LindaAP...) It seems that resort stay MBs ship automatically on a certain date prior to your trip, but AP bands didn't follow that pattern - for us anyway.

Resort bands ship at 30 days prior to check-in (if customized and US shipping address). Once the AP bands are customized, there is a ship now button.

Seasonal Passholders are eligible to receive Passholder MagicBands. If your passes are active and linked to MDE, there should be a pending order on the MagicBands & Cards page.

Ah thanks! I didnt check that.
I just had to click Ship Now.

Ok, I'm beginning to understand. Basically, since you can't order them until you activate your passes, and you can't activate until you're there, then you can't have your AP bands for your first trip of the year. Correct?

Correct. I ran into this last month. You can buy one for $12.95 though if you don't feel like waiting. The AP band is no different from a regular band.

OP: the passholder box will look like this. Ignore my obnoxious background I took this from my facebook post. :rolleyes1

The bands aren't any different and don't function any differently than a resort band. I'm sure if you asked when you activate if they have any of the little AP clips, they'd give you one if available.
