We are annual passholders and received our MagicBands in the mail yesterday. However, they did not contain the AP clips that go on the bands. (I even tore the box apart as someone else suggested.) I called the AP number and they really couldn't help me. Is this something I can get at Guest Services when we arrive? I know they really don't serve any purpose, but it would be nice to have them.

Anyone else have this same experience?

They are little blue clips that go on your MagicBand that say "Passholder" and the year. Maybe it was just a limited edition and they may not even be doing it anymore. Just thought it would be really cool to have.

OP, did the box have passholder logo and design? Maybe they sent MBs used for resort stays (which has different exterior design).

I would email guest services with clear explanation --including that the MBs came in passholder box (if it did).

Ask for guest services' assistance in getting you the AP sliders. Unlike phone call, the emailed CM can go research it and get out an answer in a few days.

I had the same problem. It was REALLY hidden. The thin cardboard holder in the box that holds your MBs upright, rip apart where it folds over to keep shape. Destroy that thing. My slider was tucked into a near invisible pocket like fold in the underside corner of that cardboard. Almost trashed it on accident! Got mine a few weeks ago.

What clips?

We have not received our AP bands. Not sure if it because we have the Seasonal Pass or if it is because we have resort reservations in Sept.

I asked at Guest Services at Epcot, because they didn't send me one either, and they said to call the Passholder line. Which, from what the OP says, is useless.

Seasonal Passholders are eligible to receive Passholder MagicBands. If your passes are active and linked to MDE, there should be a pending order on the MagicBands & Cards page.

Have you ordered them? We went on 3 trips before I went on MDE and specifically ordered the Pass holder set. And as others have said, the special clips are hidden inside the cardboard in the center of the band.:3dglasses

Yes agreed. We are seasonal passholders and we received ours. But like erionm said, you have to actually go into the Magic Band page and customize your AP set of bands. They will be completely separate from any bands you have customized for a resort stay.

I don't know why they do this. It seems wasteful, but that's the way it is.

AP magic bands come in a separate box as well. It's blue and green whereas the regular magic band box is white.

The clips make the bands look more uncomfortable than they already are.

I did tear apart all the cardboard. Still no slider.

I had DVC sliders last year and they were not uncomfortable.

I didnt even know we were supposed to get clips. I will check my box when I get home.

Both DH and I and my parents are AP holders.

We had 2 separate AP orders.. 1 for DH and I and 1 for my mom and dad. They arrived on the SAME DAY in two separate boxes... DH and I received the passholder clips and my parents did not. We tore the box apart and there was nothing in there.

Did you specifically go into the MB page and order/customize your AP magic bands? Not the MBs for a resort stay. They are separate.

You also get your AP discount cards along with that shipment.

For those getting the Passholder MagicBands, make sure you remove the tray that holds the MagicBands so you can get to the Passholder Discount Card(s) that are located in the bottom of the box.

You still need to show proof of passholder status (either AP Card or AP Discount Card) and a photo id to receive any passholder discounts and free parking at the theme parks.

That was our experience, however; having heard of MBs coming off and being lost, we used them as an extra method of keeping the bands secure. Once we pushed the posts on one side of our MBs through the holes on the other side of our MBs and made sure they were loose enough to be as comfortable as possible while not being loose enough to fall off, then we slid the slider over the double layer of the MB to ensure that the ends would not separate causing the band to open and fall off. Not any more physically comfortable, but more emotionally secure from fear of losing MBs :sad2:

got the passholder box, got the card, no slider.

And you DO have to show the photo ID when you flash the card to use it for parking...so make sure you have it handy.

I would email them. Maybe they'll send it separate. I mean they send out multiple sets of MBs for no reason. LOL
