AP linked to multiple Magicbands?

I plan on purchasing an annual pass before my next trip, I know that I cannot order my AP Magicband until I activate my pass, which I can't do until my next trip starts. So if I have other Magicbands that are linked to my MDE account, can I link my AP to those when I activate it and use my older Magicbands as my AP band or am I given a card or grey (yuck!) band?

Your MDE-linked AP will work with any Magic Band that is marked active in your MDE account.

My wife has 5 currently active MB's and she is an AP holder and has used all but one of them and received AP discounts with all of them. System takes care of that.

It's been a couple of years since I had a WDW AP, You don't need to produce your AP and ID for each and every AP discount purchase? If this is true I will throw a party...oh wait, i'll be in WDW it will already be a party...

Unless they have changed the rules since I was there in August, your MB has nothing to do with you getting discounts. You can get a resort discount through disney website as long as you have access to the discount page, which is usually after your AP appears on MDE. To get any discounts at restaurants or stores, you will need your AP card and an ID.

Yes you need to show your AP card and matching ID to get the AP discount. You can't just use a magic band and get the discount unless a CM is being very gracious.

I forgot my AP card 1 time and the CM took my word for it because I had New Orleans Saints stickers on my MB and he was from New Orleans. So he said don't worry about it and gave me the % off. But you need your AP card

Yup was there last week and you definitely still need AP card and photo ID to get the AP discount!

We were there in May and only twice the entire trip did she have to show her card. All the other places she got it automatically. I know because I checked the bill (yep, I was the one paying even though she flashed her band...I always get lucky and get to pay )

Come to think about it, she did have her little AP holder slider on so maybe they saw it and were just too lazy to ask to see her card.

I was refused an AP discount once because I forgot to move my Driver's License to the thing I wear around my neck with my credit card, cash, etc...I had my AP card and the little "Passholder" addon thingee on my the MagicBand. Its too bad they didn't set it up so we could just scan our MBs (plus fingerprint) like at the front gate.
