AP hotel discounts

I know I've been asking more questions than giving answers, but I've got another one. I'm a Premium Annual Passholder, and I'm wondering if there's a standard discount for hotel rooms or if they're just during slow times. I'm also wondering how far in advance you would know if there's a discount available. I don't have a specific time in mind at the moment, but I would love to stay at a Disneyland Hotel.

There is a standard 10% AP discount, but even that is subject to availability. I was trying to book a standard room for a Sunday night in Dec at the Paradise Pier hotel and they were sold out of the AP discount for those rooms, but had them for the theme park view.

Of course, the best AP rates are during the slower periods, such as the AP4 rates announced last summer for this Fall. The standard view at PP was $129per night.
