Hi All,

It's been a while since I used the boards and haven't been to DLP in over 18 months! It's been a long dry spell!

However I am at the end of a rubbish pregnancy and to see me through to DS2 arriving next week DH has told me to spend my week planning our first family holiday to DLP to take my mind off things.

As our Shareholders is now no longer valid I am looking to get APs for the family. I don't think I can justify the upgrade in shares with a newborn on the way...but one day maybe! :cloud9:

I just have three questions as we've never held APs before.

1. I've just rang and tried to book a room only room - but all the hotels were roughly 200 pounds more than the package price - what am I doing wrong? Should I just be looking to book a room with one occupant? (I asked for a quote based on the 4 of us)

2. Can I buy my APs from a distance before we go or do I have to purchase them on site. I'm in no rush as I am currently looking at January/Feb time to visit

3. Are all APs the same price? Is there a different price for Kids?

Thanks so much :)

I will try to help :thumbsup2
First of congratulations on your soon to be born :)
Try booking one adult and one child on the website you then just add the other adult at check in for just over a euro a night.
They are fine with you doing this.
That way you will only need to buy one Ap as others will have park tickets.
You can buy a ap buy post but getting when you are there is very easy so I would wait.
Yes all ap bought at disney have the same price for adults and kids
This may help you.

If you don't want to stay on site travel republic is great for off site hotels.

Ps
The one ap will cover you all on discount on food etc if we where to stay on site again I would still have one of us with a ap just to get the discounts.

Is it definite that you can just book for one party member and add the rest at check-in? Have people successfully done that here? Not that I'm doubting you of course, am just wondering whether it's a "I've heard that it's possible" thing or a "I know for definite that you can do this" thing :)

Absolutely certain. I did it just a month ago at the DLH. Receptionist didn't bat an eyelid, just asked me if it was ok to add the Euro-something tax per night on to the room bill.

Would it b the same for a golden forest room at sequoia lodge? If I booked 1 adult on package with park ticket and then added second adult on arrival, as getting an ap? So I'd just say to reception I want to ad 1 adult onto my room?

yes, no problem with this :).

We did this last november, got free breakfrast, hotel fastpass a day, entrance to the tea time facilities in golden forest lounge and everything.

Hmm, that's a point - if you add on other people at check-in, would everyone get a free breakfast or only the person who originally booked & paid for the room?

Thank you everyone for your replies :) I think I have my head round this now :) I have a new AP question but I'll start a new thread for that! lol!

Everyone gets breakfast, and exactly the same privileges as the original booking (use of the swimming pool, gym sauna etc) and if it's a Golden Forest, Admiral Class etc, they also gain those perks of an upgraded room :)
