AP holder and free dining

Yes. Anybody qualifies as long as you meet all the package requirements. You need to buy the minimum number of tickets - 4 day with hopper. You would have to save those tickets for use at another time if you have an AP.

You can save the ticket and use it toward your AP renewal.

WE just booked a free dining for September. Booked 8 nights and 8 day hoppers. Our APs expire that month so we will apply them to the cost of a renewal. The way I saw it, free food, and AP needed renewed anyways, so it was a great deal.

You can qualify if you buy the minumum required ticket. There is no exception that allows AP holders to get free dining without buying the tickets. Cost of the tickets could be used toward AP renewal though.

Yep. The tickets, regardless of whatever expiration date they have on them, will retain their original value basically in perpetuity. They will not "bridge" their value, however...ie, if you use them after their printed expiration date, you will have to pay the difference between the tickets' value when you bought them, vs the value of them when you use them. If you use them to renew your AP, you will receive their original value as a credit toward the renewal.
