I am starting to plan our second trip to Disneyland. We went for the first time in Feb. & stayed at the GC & LOVED it! We are trying to go on a tighter budget this time. How do I find out about AP rates? We were thinking if the rates were good we could stay at one of the Disney Hotels. We are planning on going back the first week of Feb. 2009 Now I was also looking into HOJO I have read such great things on here & you can beat the price if I can book the ENT. book rate. How far of a walk is it? Will we be missing out on alot on the EE we would get? We will be there Sunday-Friday.

Do you have an AP already? If so, you can create an account on disneyland.com and then enter your AP number, to have access to that section. They dont' have Feb rates yet up, though, so you would need to call. And even then they wouldn't know if they are having anything really special then, so you might have to wait on those rates. :goodvibes

I'm looking at the post on hojo's boards that lists the dates for the EB rate, and it shows Feb as n/a. I don't know if that means they don't have info for that month yet, or if it's not discounted at all, but it's worth keeping an eye on.

Also know that they offer a 20% discount for AP holders. :)

Yeah I'm wondering what's up with the 2009 EB rates. I already got mine but I have decided we need a second room. If I knew that they would come out with the 2009 EB rates soon I wouldn't bid on Priceline, but as it is I'm starting to bid (low) once a day. We'll keep the room we have at HOJO's but it would be kind of fun to see what we get on Priceline- we wouldn't have to worry about stuff like proximity to park, parking, lack of fridge/microwave, 'cause we'd have all that at HOJO's. My son will be 18 when we go and he'd love to have his own room. I'm wondering what happened to the 2009 rates-- they might have gone up. It's weird how they were there-- and then gone.

Yep-- I had seen that-- believe me I check every day--but there were already ET book rates out for 2009-- I have one room reserved for March 21-26 2009, now none come up. I haven't thought to check other dates in 2009 though-- I'll go try now.

Well I just tried a bunch of 2009 dates with the ET promo and cheapest I could find was $99 in January and I think that was for 1 bed. I think that they are rethinking their et book rates since putting in that new pool and bedding-- I hope I'm wrong. Anyway-- It'll be a long time before any 3 star on Priceline pops up for me for $42 if at all (that's as low as I've seen a 3 star pick up on Priceline-- you never know), so I can be patient.(I have 10 months lol) I'm sure that when Lorealle knows, she will share with us. Anyway if they end up not coming up with the $59 rates next year- I'll go up to $45 on Priceline as I'm sure something will pick up eventually for that price.

priceline scares me. :)

I probably wouldn't expect it to be as low as you expect next year; just in Sept the EB rate was 54, now it's 59...it'll probably go up in '09, darn them.

Hello Everyone!

I don't see any Entertainment Rates available in July yet- but as soon as we get them, you can be sure that I'll let you know! :D

Well, we decided to just stick with one room. Husband says he'll wake me up when the alarm goes off (hopefully the earplugs will be that good). He also promises to not stay up all night watching tv. Besides, I would put kid in Hojo's and be jealous...If HOJO does eventually come out with et book rates that are under $150 for a suite though-- I'll see if I can change.

Thanks for the responces. Im really leaning towords Hojos if we can get the EB rate. I tried calling Disney Reservations & they said Feb. rates (standard rates not AP) would not be released till August or September. That seems carzy to me but I guess there is nothing that I can do about that LOL. Are the EE days worth paying the exta to stay at a Disney Hotel? We will be going in the off season & during the week.

Is it possible for Entertainment Rates come available for this July???

I assumed that there wouldn't be any offered because it is the high season.

I do not find the EE (or rather, MM now) days to be worth paying Disney hotel rates, not at all. I just avoid Fantasyland on MM days, try (key word being TRY...I am thwarted by my family, LOL) to get to the normal entry early, and get a head start on, say, Indy while the MM'ers are stuck in FL and on Buzz until they are done with whatever line they were in when MM ended. :upsidedow
