AP Help Please :)

I have been a long time lurker but not a poster! I have searched the threads and not come up with anything so I thought I would ask... I am planning a trip Oct. 20-23 and considering getting an AP for the hotel discount. Do I need to activate it before I check in or can I just show the voucher? & have they released the rates for October yet? We are looking at Paradise Pier Concierge or the Disneyland Hotel. Thanks!!!

We bought our AP "cards" at the Disney Store, and used those at GCH to check in. We had not gone into the park yet, but showing the pass was good enough for our AP rate.

They have not posted the October AP rates yet.

You don't need to have the actual AP to make your reservation, just at the time of check-in.

No 'special' AP rates (beyond the 10% that's available all the time) for October have been released so far but keep calling central reservations and checking here for any updated info on the AP rates.

It's a personal choice but for my family, PPH w/concierge wins out over staying at the DLH.

DLH is $486

Big difference between the two.

Yes you will need the active AP to check in.
