AP Fastpass

Don't know if anyone has reported this or not, but we just got back and were able to pull Fastpasses with both our AP cards and with our room cards! They even issued a room card for my 2 year old that we were able to pull FPs with. So it was double FPs for us our entire trip! Enjoyed it immensely while it lasted cause FP+ will eliminate that option for sure.

How did you "activate" both since only one when through the turnstile at each park?

The room keys didn't have to be activated. My 2 year olds room key worked and he didn't even have a ticket.

Either that is a glitch you got lucky with or a brand spankin new policy, but either way, I hope it continues for a few more months, I want double fasstpasses!!

Happened to us before but in a different way. We had Annual Passes and my kids like to keep their room keys (the blue ones) after we leave for souvenirs. Well my kids (teenagers) had theirs in the wallet/purse and put the old one in and it gave a fast pass. Son had just picked the wrong blue key and inserted it but noticed before he put it in his wallet and was pretty stoked about the surprise. For some reason it was still allowing our old "blue cards" from 3 months prior to get a fast pass. We were shocked, it only worked for 2 days out of the 7 days we were there. But it was nice to get double fastpasses for those kids. Needless to say, whenever we have returned we always brought everyone's last blue keys with us but they have never worked again for us. This was back in 2008 (January trip and April trip).

You know years ago when FP first came out I recall reading on various Disney Newsgroups that any card with a mag stripe like a BJ's card would get you a FP.

I may have also gotten a FP with a SeaWorld annual back in the day. May have. I mean... possibly.

Just made a mistake and pulled the wrong card. We were there 11 days and it worked every day at every park.

This sounds like it would be a good way to get around the "1 FP at a time" rule? Use APs for an FP at one ride (like Rockin' Roller Coaster), then go next door to HToT and grab FPs using your room key....

Hmmm - so you think it would work with a 4 year old room key? We have a set that still have non expiring days on them - but haven't used them up due to having APs.

i discovered this bug years ago with APs and room cards; then it stopped working completely in 2008 or so i think.

i'm surprised that the bug may be back...

Little tip for those doing christmas or Halloween party with annual passes, enter park with your annual passes and then exit and enter using your party tickets and you can pulls fast passes with both sets of tickets if you are there to ride the rides.

I thought that you couldn't use party tickets for FP, and that FP doesn't operate during parties.

Yup, this. The previous post might be referring to the 4-7 window I guess, but fastpass shuts down at 7. We have been to tons of halloween and Christmas parties and fastpass has been down for all of them.
