When I called to book my room using the fall rate with AP for dining, this morning, I commented to CM that it was odd that general rates came out before AP rates. He thought so as well, but said they did not listen to him, lol!!

My travel agent thought they'd be released soon. My dates are during F&W and I'm at the Beach Club so I think my chances of getting any discount is slim unless a bunch of people cancel their reservations.

With the present discount, I was at least able to get a Poly Villa for less than rack at Beach Club, for October. Now, if a better AP discount comes for a room at one of the Epcot area resorts, then we may go back that way.

Right now I'm at CBR. Hoping to bump up to a deluxe with the AP discount for my stay in November. I'm wondering if we'll have to wait until August 10th as I see a few offers ending on August 7th.

My dates are 11/12 to 11/19 and even at rack rate there is very limited availability. I've got POR garden view but I really want preferred. I don't want a mansion room (and just a party of 3 so there is a strong possibility of getting that with a GV room) and I don't want to be too far from the food court. I was hoping preferred rooms would be available because the discount tends to be on the higher priced rooms. Maybe preferred rooms at POR are in higher demand? The only POR room available at a discount for my dates now is a Royal Room GV. I usually stay value or deluxe but thought I would give this a try. I've stayed at POR in the past and know I don't want a remote room. I was hoping for a more relaxed environment this trip and all the deluxe rooms are over $400. I don't know if I should wait for AP rates to come out or just change my reservation now. I don't know that it is worth the extra $300 just for a preferred room. I could keep what I have now, cough up the extra $300 for what I want and hope for an AP discount or downgrade to a value where I know I'll be OK but maybe not as relaxed as I want to be.....

I have a POR RGR for a bouceback and it was the only room I could get ANYWHERE. Hoping for an AP discount and get back into a Deluxe. I like POR but since it is a short trip i really want to stay close to MK.

Thanks to the good people at Orbitz, I found a Garden View at Beach Club for a little over 20% off what I had reserved a rack Standard room at BC.

I dont see that getting beat by AP discount. (But I'd love to be proven wrong!)

I'm not surprised given the lack of availability under the GP discount. I'm disappointed but not surprised.
