We are staying onsite and are planning to renew. Am I stuck with only being able to make FP+ reservations for the first 4 days of our trip at the 60 day mark? Can I renew over the phone, and will they let me renew more than 60 days before? Thanks, I'm kind of confused about it.

You can't not renew prior to the 60 day window.

Yes you are only able to preselected FP+ for how ever many days your current ticket is valid for.

Yes you can renew over the phone(assuming your not a FL on the monthly plan)

I would book your 4 days, renew your AP right at midnight on the day it expires and than book the rest of your FP's that same night. Best of luck.

Thank you, that's what I was afraid of. When I look at our AP's online there's a place to click renew. Maybe I can renew online. That would make it easier to choose FP+'s

Agreeing w/ PP, I was in this same situation. We renewed over the phone, were given a voucher number, linked that number to MDE, and were able to continue make FP+ reservations. Good luck!

Yes you can renew online, thats the quickest simplest way IMO.

We renewed in August for our October trip, called on the phone and I was able to renew our AP's more than 60 days out (they were to expire 3-4 days into our trip). Then I was transferred to IT who linked them all and we were all set! This was right at our 60 day fast pass reservation mark.

I believe you may be mistaken. You can not renew prior to 60 days from the day of expiration. Written numerous places, just to lazy to pull it up this late. The computer system won't even allow it.

The original limit was 30 days prior.
With the advent of FP+ they increased the renewal date to 60 days.
Again, this is all new for FP+.

When the situation is that guests with APs have a unique visit where the renewal falls within the trip, I've seen multiple cases with a renewal moved up to fit that trip situation.
