AP Expiration Question

Our AP's expire on 3-16-11. We are not sure if we will renew right away, but do plan to be at WDW on the 16th. Will our AP's expire at midnight on the 15th....or......midnight on the 16th?

16th. You have 30 days on either side of the exp. date to renew.

To be honest, we live in NJ and have had APs over the years. We have never renewed. We go 2 to 3 times over the year (one at the very end like you are usually) We buy a new a new AP the next visit so we don't pay for the time between the 2 APs. You really don't save that much renewing exp when you think about the time until the next trip!

That is something to think about....since our next trip won't be until Sept. 2011, so why have 6 mos. of wasted AP. Thanks for the advice.

Exactly. The little savings on a renewal price versus a new isn't worth 6 months not using it. That's surely what I would do. Also, why pay for it then as well. I would keep watching to see if prices are going up in Aug (the rate increase month recently) and buy a voucher then and use it in sept!

Yes, and the best was back when they let you upgrade to an AP up to the year of date of first use! The last time we did that was when we purchased 5 day passes in Nov 2000 and kept them and upgraded to AP in Aug 2001. Yes, the AP expired from the Nov 2000 date, but all you had to do was pay the difference between the 5 day and the AP price (always less than a 5 day ticket price! ) We did this from the early 80s through then. It really helped out with the cost of an AP!
