Hello! Me and my family have been being annual passholders for years, but I guess it´s time to change... We´re a family of 4, travelling from Europe, with our kids being 10 and 4. I have been doing numbers in my head and I guess the AP doesn´t work for us anymore. It did in the past, when we used to go over there twice a year for ate least 12 nights each time, but not anymore.

Actually, we usually spend there 16 nights, and the last couple of years we have just gone like 10 or 11 days to Disney Parks, since we also go to Universal Studios for a couple of days, and use another couple of days for relaxing in the hotel, shopping... Our current AP expires on august 1st, and we were thinking about renewing them or not, so here comes the math!

+Gold Annual pass renewal is $466, so it´s $1,864 PLUS taxes for the 4 of us. It´d include the Photopass Plus.
+The special 10 day theme park ticket offer for DVC members, including park hopper and water parks is $1,763,66 with taxes.
+14 day ultimate ticket, from the Irish website, including park hopper, water parks, FREE memory maker, and 15% off at disneystore.co.uk is $1,576 with taxes.

As you can see, the difference between Gold Pass renewal and the special DVC Member Theme park ticket offer isn´t really big, maybe it´d be like $200 if we add the taxes to the Annual Passes. But if I get the DVC Member Theme Park ticket offer, then I should pay for my Memory Maker wich it´s $149, making a total of $1,912,66. And I think that´d only save around $40 than buying the annual passes.

Life ain´t easy... Any ideas? Help! :badpc:

Would you go to the waterparks?
Would you be able to return just before the Gold pass would expire?

The truth is we´re not really into water parks, I think we have just done them a couple of times in the past... But actually, since our kids want to go to waterparks, I think we´d go to one or both but only if they´re included in the ticket.

I don´t think we´d be able to return until our AP expire, but if there is a chance it´d be around spring break, blockout dates... With my kid being 10 he can´t lose any school time, that´s the reason we´re travelling in august.
