I thought this might be useful information for any AP holders and/or DVC members who already purchased full-price tickets to the DAH event: you CAN get a refund for half the purchase price, now that they are offering tickets to these groups at 50% off.
To do so, you must go in-person to Guest Relations at the front of Magic Kingdom. Do not bother with the Concierge Desk at your hotel; do not call DVC Member Services. I tried both, and was told, "I'm sorry, I cannot help you. You purchased those tickets knowing the terms and conditions in place at the time of sale, which stipulate that the tickets are non-transferrable, non-refundable...". They would have been within their right to hold the line and refuse the refund, but I thought I'd try Guest Relations just in case since it was a beautiful morning and now I was up and my DD was doing the teenager thing of snoozing well into mid-morning. I took the monorail from Poly to MK and was met by a CM at the entrance to the queue for Guest Relations who asked what I needed and responded that they would absolutely be able to help me, once I explained why I was there. Yay! This was the morning of 4/28 - same day as we were attending DAH. I had a wonderful CM who was able to handle the transaction with ease. She refunded the original tickets, used the credit to purchase new 50% discounted tickets, and refunded me the remaining amount. She gave me a receipt for the refund amount, reloaded the new tickets onto my magic band, was able to look up my daughter's magic band (I didn't have it with me; for anyone doing this, it would save a step and a few minutes of time if you bring MBs of everyone in the DAH party with you) and load her new ticket onto her band, and gave me a card-ticket for each of us as well, just in case loading onto the MBs somehow didn't work (though she could see them loaded properly on her side in the system). It all worked perfectly. I didn't ask about the 3 FP+ I had booked between 7-10pm because that was really a non-issue for me if they got deleted, but we later found that they were still there, too.
Sorry this got long -- I wanted to explain how the transaction was handled just in case someone gets a CM who doesn't know what to do -- the CM I worked with did need to ask someone (I presume a manager or supervisor?) a couple of questions along the way.
FWIW, my DD and I thought the DAH was FANTASTIC and of course it was even better at 50% savings!
Hope this is helpful to someone out there!
