AP/DVC discount

We are AP/DVC holders and I can’t remember how this works. When receiving either discount at restaurants do you have to pay with a credit card with your name on it? Sometimes we have had to show an ID with our name to match our AP/DVC . Just wondering if we can still pay with a gift card but get the discount as well.

You can use a GC or any other form of payment. Just have your AP/DVC card and photo ID.

We always use a gift card. I can’t remember being asked for ID, just the AP card, although they could have asked for ID and I just don’t remember.

Any form of payment is fine. We used our AP discount last August and after we showed our card/ ID to our server, my father insisted on handing over his credit card, and there was no problem at all.

It’s been hit or miss as to whether we’ve had to show ID, or the actual AP card (for DVC we always have to show the card). When using our AP discount some CMs have accepted it on our phone in the MDE app. We just go prepared to show whatever they ask for (AP card, ID, DVC card- if they don’t need any of those, it’s not like they weigh me down anyhow).
