Hi there.

DDP is new to me, since they just opened it up for us.

Normally we go once a year and just buy MYW tix. This year, we are thinking about going twice. Since we get a discount on AP through DVC, I was going to purchase them for this year. Then I started reading that the free DDP was going to be offered again. So it started me thinking.....

If I book a room at a non-dvc resort, most likely an all star resort, and pay OOP, can I get the free DDP or do you also have to purchase park tickets to get the free DDP?

Not sure if I would be ahead of the game by paying for the value resort room and getting the free DDP or if I should just book my DVC room, use my AP and pay for dining.

If you have a chance to book free dining:
They will require you to book a package- which is basically a room at rack rate and MYW tickets. ThYou can buy 1 day base tickets though- and then save them and put toward your next AP. I also believe there is a 3 night minimum stay.

If you are going to be in WDW anytime soon you can book free dining now- otherwise just wait and hope it will be offered in the spring.
