AP discounts

I am planning on purchasing annual passes soon but I won't activate them until late Nov. Does anyone know if I would be eligible to book rooms at the AP discounted rate after I buy them but before they are activated? Are there other discounts available to AP holders? TIA

As far as booking a room wihtout an activated pass, that policy seems to vary. I woud suggest calling WDW Reservations.

There are some other AP perks and discounts. For instance, free theme park parking, even if staying offsite; the ability to purchase the Tables in Wonderland dining card, as well as some shopping and dining discounts that vary, most in the 10% range. Although until February 1, AP holders get 20% at most stores, including those inside the parks.
