AP Discount

So I just got off the phone and there's no availability for the room/resort/dates we have . The CM I spoke to was awesome - she wasn't aware that the discount was out yet either, but she checked for me and said yes, it had just come out this morning. (I think what people were seeing earlier was the general public discount - it covers the same dates, but was about 5% less than the AP).

I'm going to keep checking though - sometimes I've found availability online when I couldn't get it on the phone

Unfortunately, no. The trip has been planned for months, planes booked, work vacation scheduled, etc. I'm actually already doing a split stay and got a 35% AP discount for our first three nights (8/13-8/16) and have the 20% GP discount for our remaining four nights (8/16-8/20). The additional 5% would only save us about $100, but it's worth keeping an eye out. It still makes no sense to me that the mid-summer discount would be so much more than the end of summer discount. There should be much less demand for rooms in late August and September. Oh well....

We have free dinning reservations at POFQ for a river view room with deluxe dinning for Sept 23-29 for two people. I called this morning and asked about the AP price for the same at POFQ and also for a woods view room at WL for two people and deluxe dinning. The prices they quoted me were very very high. I cannot get into the AP site. Could someone who can please check these out for me?

Those who called can you share what the discount is? I am currently booked at AOA in a Family Suite for 9/26 & 9/27. Will I save anything with the AP rate compares to the current public offer? I think it was 15%?

Just called again and the discounts were there, just not for what I was looking for. Still have YC booked with a bounceback, but if a lesser view there or BC was avail, it would have been the same discount rate as what I have, 35 percent.

The CM told me the rates are five percent better than public offer.

Just called and Wilderness Lodge standard views are not included. Woods view is going to save us about $350 but the discount brings standard club level down to about $100 more than we were going to be paying so I might get to talk DH into Club Level!

I called and the CM had no idea that the AP rates had been released. However, once she checked she was very appreciative that I had called because there they were

I was able to apply the AP rate to my CSR reservation from Sept 3rd - 12th. It only saved me $88 because I already had the 25% general public discount. But hey, any additional savings is great in my books

Thank you anyway. Does $3,226.80 for two people, six nights, woods view, deluxe dinning seem right to you? I think that is more than I was quoted for the last room discount that just ended? Sept. 23 -29.

I finally called and got our rate adjusted!! Saved us a total of 30.93 for three nights at POR every penny helps I suppose I already was using the 25% off room-only discount so it was an extra 5% off. The CM was so great and cheerful, got me even more excited!!

I had booked August 13th-23rd in the Contemporary Garden Wing, and already had the AP discount on the 13th-16th. I called this morning to try getting the AP discount on the rest of the trip, but they didn't have the Garden Wing available with the discount for the 16th-23rd. They did have Tower Bay Lake View available. Changing our entire stay to the Tower rooms with the AP rate saved us more than $400 over what we had previously.

I suspect she'll feel a bit silly once she finds out that YES one did come out today. At least my CM (who also didn't know it came out - that was my 1st phone call) was nice about it. I just said "oh OK" and hung up. 2nd CM was on the ball - I gave her a great review on the survey.

I called this morning and was able to apply the AP rate to my existing reservation at CSR in Sept. Saved $70 over the regular room only discount. Does anyone know when the AP rates will be on the website? I seem to have issues with the new way Disney does things!! The resort discounts on the AP page takes me to the regular special offers page and then I have to sign in again to get the passholder offers. Is there an easier way to do this??
