AP discount on Mardi Gras food & beverage gift card

Thank you all for this,,,we will be there mid march and pick up a few for sure. Anyone know of places that do not accept them?

I don’t think they work at the hotels. But should be good in the parks and CityWalk.

I think they can only be bought at the white food/drink tents in the Studios. I bought mine at the Bloody Mary white tent. The 30 dollars off goes on your receipt, after they scan your AP. I had no issue paying the $120 for the $150 card. It comes with a red thin rope lanyard, but I refused the lanyard as it’s a credit card sized gift card, and I just rather have it in my purse.

I used it at Breadbox with no issue, and don’t forget to use your AP discount before paying for that food or drink, if you have the AP that has a discount. Though any kind of AP does get that 30 dollar discount though, with the scan of your AP at purchase of the card.

I was lucky, as I was only there the first day of the Mardi Gras celebration, on Saturday. We left Saturday night. Got the AP magnet at the 5 and Dime on my way out of the park. Joined my season passholder DD at IOA, as she was blocked out of the studios that day, due to concert that night. She got her AP magnet at the Toon town large store.

And where do you get these gift cards? Can we get them somewhere from the city walk?

Yes even if not an APH, you can purchase a $75 card for $65. Any of the Mardi Gras food stands sell the card. I know for sure the Studios stands sell them, as that is where we typically purchase them. I’m not sure if the few Mardi Gras stands on Citywalk and IoA sell them… but I would think so?? Someone else may know that specific answer.

Are the Mardi Gras food cards available in Islands of Adventure or at the resorts, or do you have to purchase them in the Universal Studios park?

You can purchase them at any Mardi Gras food booth during the Mardi Gras event which ends April 16. Most of the booths are in Studios but there are also some in Islands and also on Citywalk. They are not sold in the resorts nor do the resorts accept them.
