AP dining discount limit?

Is there a limit to the number of people that can get the dining discount with a DL AP? I was checking on the DVC discount tonight on DVCmember.com and noticed that it said the DVC discount was limited to parties of 8 (and it didn't have the same party size qualifier for WDW restaurant discounts). I didn't see any mention of the limit on the DL site for the AP perks.

Just curious, as I'm still trying to figure out whether to get a Premier pass next week for the additional discounts.

I'm honestly not sure! I do believe, however, that to get the discount the AP holder will have to pay for everyone - you can't split checks and have everyone get the discount, at least not as far as I've read.

well i had my cousin and my friend with me at naples, i used my AP to get the discount.... does that answer your question? but we also had one check, adn then we pulled our money together does that make sense

We went with a group of 6 and we were able to use our AP for the dining discount with no problems......

We went with 10 people last summer & I was the only one with the Premiere AP & we were able to get the discount at all the meals if I did the paying.

That's good to hear. There will be 11 of us in March with Girl Scouts and my dd and I will be upgrading to AP's in anticipation of her graduation trip. If I do they paying we can save a bit of money which equals a few less boxes of cookies to sell.

I totally didn't think of this when I answered you on the DVC boards, but we used our AP discount for a party of 20 at Goofy's Kitchen last summer.

We average 10-11 people in our party each PS and have always used my AP for the entire party.

In fact, there has been instances where we split the check and the CM used my AP for all checks. This has happened many times at BB. Of course, YMMV.

i did that once too, it was ok at the time for the server... but it was at one of the places in downtown disney though..
