AP Codes are up!

Another Question...for Those That Have Booked With The Ap Rate And Also Got The Free Dining Cards. Did Your Free Card Show Up On Your Email Ressie Confirmation? Mine Did Not And I Was Curious As To How Will We Prove That We Were Given That? I Trust DiSney But It Would Be Nice To Have It In Writing!

My email confirmation did not say it, but I will be sure to print out the promo info on the passholder Web site to help prove my case if the $50 is not there upon checkin.

You might want to call back at some point to make sure you have it. My DH called today because one of our email confirmations didn't show up. While on the phone he asked about the dining card. The CM I booked with yesterday never put it on our reservations. This one said she added it but we're still going to call before check-in to recheck.

I got my ressie for Dec 13th-16th. I wanted Pop, but TA could only get me AS Music. Told her I would take Movies or Music but not Sports. I did get the Dining credit .. what I don't understand is, you only get it for one day. What if I were to check in and out each day :lmao: Then I would have it for each day ;) Honestly, makes no sense to me. If you book for one night or 10 nights, you only get one dining credit.... :teacher: the math isn't adding up there. I am paying the $59 per night with the AP rate for my time frame. Can't complain :goodvibes

Disney Visa codes came out two days ago:
ZQL pkg without dining
ZQM pkg with dining
You had to book a pkg using a Disney Visa that included at least a one day MYW ticket ($75.62) for each person in the room. The room portion for a Value resort came out to about $54.98/day including taxes and $110.99/day including taxes for a Moderate resort. You did not get a discount for park tickets or Dining Plan.

Annual Pass Codes came out yesterday:
FEX
Price for a Value resort came out to about $66.67/day with tax.

General Public Codes came out this morning:
ZQG pkg without dining plan
ZQH pkg with dining plan
The prices are the same as the Disney Visa codes.

In other words the general public and Disney Visa card holders got a better deal than the AP holders. I still can't figure out why people are booking with the AP codes when they can use the general public code and get a better price even having to buy a one day park ticket.:confused3

for me to save that $10 per night on the room, I have to spend $75 (actually $150 since you have to get one for each person in the room) on the ticket, how is that cheaper when I already have my pass?

I got the AP email about the code/discount..I was already booked at POP 10/11 to 10/28 at $99. night the email said it's now $79. night (plus a free $20dining card with code FEX) I called I'm thrilled because my dates are available & I save about $340. :cool1:

Shouldn't I have gotten the $59.00 rate not a $79.00 rate? I'm going to call 1st thing in the morning but if anyone is awake please tell me what you think? Have I read something hear incorrectly? Did the CM just make a mistake? She did give me the Dining card but.....?

Thanks for all help,
Ruthie

:rotfl: boy I'm glad I realized about the code before I called in the morning (see my previous post) and made a fool out of myself with code questions....I just looked around and realized MY dates are during the "regular" season the $59.00 night is the "value" season...oh well now I don't have to set an alarm to go off in 3 1/2 hrs and I will humbly, and gratefully, go to bed counting my blessings that I got the discounts that I did....maybe someone else can learn from my mistake

There is a minimum of two nights on the dining card deal, so you could book two separate reservations and get two cards.

Called yesterday afternoon at 4 CST and system was down. CM took down my info and said they would call once the system was back up, expected it to only be a couple of hours.

Well, the phone never rang  so first thing this morning I called again and tried to get the AP FEX code for 11/30-12/8 for CBR. CM told me the code wasn't available for that resort but I could switch to the CSR. Family has heart set on CBR so I declined the offer to move to CSR. What a bummer it is to have an AP and not be able to take advantage of the discounts without having to move resorts.

My TA emailed me this morning that additional AP rates had come out for the AKL during our stay (26 Oct through 31 October) Savannah view, 2 queen beds (1 queen and bunk beds were available prior, but wouldn't work for us). Total for six nights including tax is $1721.22! Plus we get the $75 free dining! This saved us a little more than $300 over the AAA discount. We're happy!

My Chase Visa quote for eight nights at AS was $515.47. This included a $75.62 one day MYW ticket (the room portion was only $439.85). The quote for the AP was $533.36 for a room only. The difference is not that much, but it just didn't make sense for a AP code for a room only to cost more than a Visa code for room, plus a $75.63 park ticket. Even with having to buy the park ticket the Visa came out a little cheaper, plus I'll have a $75.00 ticket to apply toward my AP next year. Then again I'm traveling solo, so only have to buy one $75.00 park ticket. My original point is that it just doesn't make sense for the Visa and General Public codes to be less than the AP codes. AP codes have always been less. I guess we're just spoiled to expecting a bigger discount---percentage wise than the general public.
