AP Codes are up!

Unfortunately the codes did not work out that great for us.

We are staying from 17 - 30 Dec and at the moment have a GV room at GF booked at $375 + tax per night.

With the new pricing policy being applied to these codes it means that our rate from 23 Dec would go up to Holiday pricing and would actually cost us more

I changed my 11/8 to 11/13 AAA rate at Pop to AP and saved $29.

FEL is the code you use to get the room discount and the dining card. FEX is just the room discount.

I called back and asked about the dining card and the CM didn't have a clue what I was talking about. She found it and then said I didn't qualify. I told her the code was FEX. Maybe I'll try again with FEL but she said I'd have to check in 11/11. I thought they were doing daily rates now so I should be able to get it since I'll be there 2 nights starting 11/11.

AAARRGGGHHH!

We are leaving for the airport in a few hours. I called to see about switching to an AP rate so we can get the dining gift card (I know, $20, not the end of the world) but the stupid system is down. For another HOUR! Looks like I WON'T be getting a dining card!

Hmmm.. just called to check on the prices for AP for my Nov 17-Dec1st trip. I have a AAA room booked at All Star Movies. For the AP rate, they did not have any at the All Star for those dates, but did for Music and Sports. Total savings would be $150. But Movies is our favorite so we are sticking with that I think.

Now I'm second guessing if I should change....

Same for us. We'll be there Dec 19-26 staying at WL courtyard at $270 + tax per night. I don't want to think about what it would cost if they applied the new pricing system. Looks like I won't be using any codes this year!

They didn't have any for movies for my dates either, just Music and Sports.

I am only staying one night and already have AAA so I am just staying with Movies. It is only costing me $5.78 more for that one night.

I actually hope my waitlist for OKW comes through so I can cancel it altogether.

Our dates are also 12/19 - 12/26, our rack rate of $215 for all 7 nights is cheaper than going with AP rate and having to pay holiday rates beginning 12/23. So much for their advertising of the AP rate for "check-ins" through 12/23. It should read for "stays through 12/23" if this is how they are going to price it.

What's the deal w/that? I thought the new pricing didn't apply to 2007 ressies. I made a room only ressie about a month ago for this December and was quoted the same price for all 7 nights. Anyone know what's going on?

Basically what it boils down to is if I went with the AP discount for my AKL Standard room ressie, it would only be good from Dec 19 - Dec 22. The rates from Dec 23 - Dec 29 are priced at 2007 Holiday rates which results in that ginormous increase in rate should I go the AP route.

I'm hanging on to my room-only ressie for dear life. Needless to say, I'm pissed to the heights of pissivity on this...

We just got AP's for this year so I've never booked with one before. Do I need to have it with me when I call to make the reservation? Because I don't have it on hand right now, unfortunately I'm forgot the codes were probably coming out today and left it at home

No, you shouldn't, you just have to show it when you check in.

For some reason the pricing change only seems to apply if you try to use the code. You can still book online, room only and get the '07 rates. Example: checking in on the 19th you pay value rate (215- deluxe standard) the entire stay through the 26th. I'm not sure why they would charge '08 rates just because your applying a code.

Not sure if this will help but I called this AM for AP rates for Nov 16 & 17....I now have an AAA rate totally 315$ for 2 nights at POFQ, the only moderates left for that weekend at least were CS & CB at 279$ total including tax....I kept what we have. I expected the rates to be better

Boy that seems pretty sneaky! Thanks for explaining it to me. I was terrified I was going to get an email saying sorry but you owe $xxxx- more than we originally told you. I also will be hanging onto my room only ressie for dear life. Looks like this might be my first and only trip to Disney at Christmas. Probably won't be able to afford it ever again unless I stay at a value/mod.

So I called again and got the same "you must start your trip on 11/11".

Why are they sticking to the start date on this deal but charging folks more for going into a new season?

Its only $20 so it isn't a big deal. I was annoyed when they asked if I wanted to change my dates. I purchased airfare months ago. If I waited til Disney offered AP discounts on the room to purchase airfare I would be paying at least $100 more per person. I purchase my AP for park admission and would have been happy with the AAA discount on my room but that doesn't mean that I don't find this annoying.

Bottom line, they do not want to let rooms go at a discount during the time period 12/23 - 1/1 regardless of when you check in. I'm holding on to my room only rack rate of $215 for now.

I got through right at 7AM. Originally had rack rate at WL Nov 17 - Nov 25. Nothing available for those dates AP at WL. But YC and BC were available, standard room, over $500 less, so we moved to YC.

Mixed results, we like the WL better but the YC is a beautiful place too. Could not pass up the $500 less option and still be at a true deluxe. Getting 8 nights this late in the game at any place for Thanksgiving week is TOUGH!

I asked for those dates at moderates, no POR, POR FQ, only CSR and CBR. We could have resort hopped but my wife prefers to stay put.

Question for you - what rate did you get at the YC? YC/BC is where I would want to stay anyway. Looks like T-day weekend is out of the question though.

Dreams Unlimited got our CBR rate for Nov. 17-24 reduced from the AAA rate of $1104 to $976.50 plus we got the dining card. Saved us another $128 over AAA and $486 off of rack rates. Not as good a many past years, but better than I was expecting.

was $160/night (AAA rate) AP discount brought it to $135/night

10/25-10/27 at POP
was $99/night AP discount is sold out but he can change us to Music for $79

We have to wait for package rates to come out. Even though I am an AP holder, (and I got the AP rate this morning on our October F&W trip, it was room only) DH wanted the DDP for the November trip so I booked a MYW package with Dining with one day base tickets, which we will use next year to get new AP's. I suppose I could call back and book room only and then pay OOP with DDE for the food, but that DDP is what makes him say he will go with me.
