AP buying question

Can my friend buy a an AP for me when he is in WDW in July this summer, while I'm still in the Netherlands? I'm going to WDW in august, but than I cannot use the AP 10% discount card anymore. Is this possible?

Since you have to present an ID and sign for it when you buy the AP, I don't see how he could buy it for you. Sorry.
