AP Blackouts explained?

Hi All,

Just about getting my head around obtaining and using an AP for my family - I just have one more question. We are looking to spend a week in DLP over Feb half term - currently the only day blacked out is the 3rd which won't affect us so as far as I can see the cheapest AP will do us fine. However moving forward we WILL use the AP at at least 1 other point in the 12 months - so my question is, with the blackout dates, what exactly is blacked out?

I appreciate that you wouldn't be able to actually go into the park on that day but can you use the parking and restaurant discount on a date that is blacked out? We are in Paris a lot and would still drive to the village for an evening meal and a bit of a shop even if if weren't going to the park - but would we be able to? On your blackout days are all perks off limits? :confused3

Your going to be staying on site right ?
If staying on site blackout dates don't count :)

Yes, you can still get discounts on a blackout day with your AP. I am not 100% on the parking though as it could possibly be only Dream that will have free parking from July?

Blackout days are simply dates you can not use your pass to enter the park. You still can use it for discounts but you need a valid ticket to gain access.

Secondly, the black out days on the cheapest pass (Francillian) are compulsory black out days. The first two days after the pass is activated, are a no go - whether staying onsite or not. The only way around this is to buy them through the post, where they are activated the day they are printed and sent, therefor cancelling out the compulsory blackouts.

If you book an onsite hotel (for 1 person and any free children) blackout days do not apply when adding AP holders on at hotel check in. You will be issued with an Easy Pass to show alongside your chosen AP to gain entry to the parks. The two compulsory blackout days on the Francillian still apply.

Thanks both for your reply - I have actually booked now off site so I need to investigate applying for an AP by post.

Thanks :)

Thank you!! So excited! We actually booked to be there at Christmas time (over new years :) ) and it's going to be part of our boys Christmas present from Santa - now I just have to think of the best way for Santa to tell them!
