I'm PO'd about this. in the mail this morning was the AP newsletter telling me of the extra discounts, free admissions, and most important - the ability to hold 3 express passes at once in January. we've been there 6 times so far this month and had no idea. poor timing on this mailing.

I am a new Annual Passholder and haven't got any newsletters yet. We are going to PBH next week for 4 nights. Can you tell me more about some of the deals this newsletter mentioned for the month of January?? Thanks.

I got my AP newsletter over a week ago.

Royal Pacific starting at $119
Hard rock starting at $139
Portofino starting at $149

For dates Jan.9-Feb.17.

Does the newsletter mention any extra benefits, besides room discounts, such as the ones Immelman eluded to? He mentioned something about free admissions and express passes??

Here are all the things mentioned in the newsletter:

Save 20% when you purchase park tickets for friends and family (multi-day tickets only---you can purchase up to 6 theme park tickets)

Get up to 3 express passes at a time. Normally when you swipe your AP in the machine, you can only hold one express pass at a time. Now during January you can hold up to 3 passes at once.

Free citywalk party pass: Present AP at Citywalk Guest services and you are entitled to enjoy one night of live entertainment at Citywalk's clubs/restaurants with no cover charges plus you can save 20% on any additional party passes for up to 4 people.

Margarittaville, Latin quarter, Pat O'Brien's: 20% off all food and beverages excluding alcohol and you will also receive priority seating

Free admission to Bob Marley's , the groove, and Bonkerz

10% off all food and beverage at select hotel restaurants
20% discount at Mandara spa
20% off at the new Bice Risorante at Portofino Bay Hotel

Royal Pacific: $119
Hard Rock: $139
Portofino: $149
Includes Complimentary upgrade. Travel must be completed Jan. 9-Feb. 17. Rates are $30 higher per night Friday and Saturday. Rates do not include tax and do not qualify for Lowe's First benefits.

Thanks for all the info about the AP benefits! I am going to print out your post and bring it with us to make sure we ask about all these things! Thanks so much!

Thanks phamton for the list! Two things bother me about my AP...
1.A couple months ago I bought a new AP online so was mailed the ticket to turn in for the "real" AP when we arrive. I wish there was a way to either get a newsletter or visit the website and get the monthly newsletter. Seems I get nothing until I activate the pass? Any ideas....?

2. For the years my entire family was an AP holder only one member ever got the newsletter mailed to my house...is it a family thing?? Also maybe cause I am in NY, but it was NEVER ontime!

OK...rant over...still a great deal and I will continue to renew :)

I would call the hotel prior to your visit so they can give you the AP rate.

Call the passholder number and ask them if they would start sending you the newsletter. It only comes out every 2 or 3 months though. Here's the number: 1-800-564-5764

Our family only gets one even though we have 4 APs. It's addressed to the "Hamilton family." I don't know if the newsletter comes as first class as the stamped area just says "PRSRT STD US Postage Paid" which I think stands for presort standard. So maybe it is like a magazine rate and it would take longer than 1st class mail.

phamton, thanks so much for the reply! I will try giving them a call to see if they can start sending it. I wasnt aware it wasnt a monthly thing. Also feel better knowing only one is sent to your family as well. I didnt take notice to see how it was addressed.

Thanks for posting. We have not received the newsletter either. :(

The last newsletter we got was for HHN.

We have been preferred passholders for almost three years now and have received a grand total of one newsletter and two special offer mailings (Mummy AP Preview and the Shrek 2 breakfast deal) in all of that time. It really doesnt faze me that much, since I can just read them all online now.

I've only gotten a newsletter once. And that was after I called the AP hotline (for other reasons) and ended up mentioning I never got one.

www.uoannualpass.com You can get the annual pass info as long as you have already turned your voucher in for your preferred annual pass. No more waiting for newsletters in the mail

Kimberly

ps this website is listed on the back of your pass

Bev takes the ball and runs with it. I never bother with the online version, because we get the one in the mail in a timely manner. (usually) :D

How weird. after posting what I did earlier, I checked my mail today and I got that mailing, woohoo!

Maybe I';ll finally get each mailing!

Also, about the 3 express pass thing, last year it didn't work for me, but I was there last weekend, and I was able to take advantage of it. Maybe my pass last eyar was screwy, who knows.
