AP and Parking question

Can I show the confirmation that I would get from buying an AP online at the parking booth when we first go to a park to get the free parking? My understanding is I would have to have the pass activated at GR and we are staying offsite next trip.

1. That MIGHT work. Sometimes does.

2. But, what WILL work is to pay for parking that day and take the receipt to the Guest Relations where you get your AP activated that day, and the CM will refund your parking fee.

Another choice is to activate the AP at a Guest Relations at Disney Springs (DTD) or at a Water Park, neither of which charge for parking.
