AP and non-expiring ticket on same account?

I usually have an AP. But for my last trip, my AP expired one day before we were leaving. So I used a day from a 10 day non-expiring ticket and I linked it to my account. For my next trip, I'll have my new AP and my 10 day ticket linked to my account. Has anyone tried using their Magic Band for park entry in this situation? Is the system "smart" enough to use the AP before ticket days? Or should I just go into the park using my AP card? Seems like it should work on the Magic Band but I didn't want to find out afterwards that all my ticket days were used!

I couldn't figure out a way to unlink the 10 day ticket in my account. Based on a google search, it sounds like you can only unlink if the ticket hasn't been used. Guess I'll bite the bullet and call Disney IT. Thanks!

You can go to Guest services at the parks and have your tickets prioritized as to which ones are used first.
