AP and free dining

I have seen references to getting free dining as a passholder that involves buying tickets that can be upgraded as part of the renewal of the AP. Doesn't free dining also require getting a resort room as well?

It does but it is a moot point for now as dining plans are not available at this time.

yes you need a room reservation

yes you need a room reservation. Free dinning is only good for the number of days you are staying in a resort room
