AP and DVC

I have never been to a DVC resort and I wanted to try Vero Beach. Can an AP rate be applied to a DVC?
Also, is there any way to look up Vero Beach rates on line or do you always have to call?

ps - any comments on Vero Beach in July? We are a party of 10 - 4 adults and 6 kids, ages 21, 19, 17, 16, 15, and 14. Is the beach nice? Is there enough to do? (we are used to a busy Orlando vacation) Is VEro more for younger kids? Any comments would help.

I was given an AP Rate for OKW when I booked at WL. I was adding a few nights on to my trip in which I rented points from a DVC owner. It was a pretty good rate.
