We will be staying on points at BWV in July. We just made a reservation for the preceeding weekend at BW using the AP discount just announced yesterday instead of staying on points at BWV.

As in the past, we will be taking advantage of the DVC discount for AP's when we arrive. Our last AP's expired already.

We had planned to purchase AP's at the front gate on our first day at the parks. However, I guess with the AP hotel discount we must show the AP when we check-in. We will be arriving late due to a late airplane arrival.

Is it possible to get the DVC discount on annual passes and purchase them before arrival? Will they still get activated the first day we arrive? We do have a Disney store in Denver.

You can buy a voucher through member services or on the member website. The voucher should be sufficient to check-in (if they even ask for it).

I believe you can purchase you can go to the DVC website and purchase the AP's. You'll receive AP vouchers in the mail. When you arrive at Disney you can activate them at DTD or at any of the guest services at the parks.
When reserving anything prior to your visit, I'm pretty certain that you can give the voucher number to hold the ressie, explaining to MS that you will be activating the AP vouchers upon arrival.

Hope you have a great Mickey Adventure on your next visit home!

I agree with DebbieB. Have your vouchers when you check-in because they COULD ask for them, but we have never been asked for anything when checking in using the AP discount.

You will be fine with the vouchers - they don't care if you've activated the AP or not for getting the discount. They rarely ask to see the pass on check in, and if they do just show them the vouchers, and tell them you didn't activate them yet.

I have been asked for my AP on checking in.
