So here's my situation. We are booked w/ an AP room discount right now. I was going to get AP's for everyone but now we're thinking we may not. So I will just be getting one AP to keep the room rate. Can I still add tge DDP to our reservation if the rest of my family don't have an AP and just have park tickets? The tickets will be purchased from UT. Thanks for the help!

19 Days and Counting...

The DDP would cover anyone in the room. They don't really give the AP discount on the DDP itself, its on the room. As long as your company is in the same room with you, They will be covered even without them getting an AP.

All you need for an AP discount, and/or an AP ticketless package, is one adult AP (not a child's AP). If you have one adult with an AP, everyone in the room will be covered. Notice it's a ticketless package - not a room only reservation with a dining plan - and in order to add a dining plan to your reservation you will have to make it a package. It will then be subject to package rules ($200 deposit, payment due 45 days out, cancellation fee for cancelling within 45 days, etc). If you are only 19 days out and you haven't added the dining plan yet, remember you must do it no later than 72 hours before your arrival date, and you will need to pay for the plan (and any outstanding balance on your room) as soon as you add it.

Thanks for the help. It's just me, DH, and our girls in the room. We were going to buy AP's for everyone but haven't decided yet. Thought I'd better make sure before we got there and had to shell out more $ for AP's if we decided not to.
One more? can I buy the plan for my 2 yo? TIA

Only if you register the 2 year old as 3. On a ticketless package you wouldn't need a ticket for her, but she will have to go into the computer as being 3.

Your so helpful I have one more question I hope you can answer. I just talked w my travel agent and she said I can't add the DDP to my reservation. She would have to cancel my reservation and then book a new AP room w the DDP. Is this correct? I'm asking because they're are no more standard room so I would loose my room and have to upgrade to a water view room. And I don't want to do that.
