AP activation question

We are planning on buying annual passes this year as it is cheaper with our travel plans. While I have 3 of us figured out, I am trying to figure out how to do our youngest's AP.

He does not need anything for the first trip as he is under 3. The second trip, we arrive on a Friday before a blacked out saturday. If I buy him a park hopper to be upgraded to an AP, I know I can use it and upgrade him on that blacked out day, or even the next day without problem. However, if I buy the annual pass voucher online now and we do not enter the park on the friday we get there, can I activate it on a blackout date?

Yes, you can buy him the AP (voucher) and have it activated on a black-out day. It is valid the first day you activate it, even though you activate it on a black-out day (it just won't be valid on a black-out day if it expires on a black-out day)
