AP activation question

I know the answer to this question but really need some confirmation. If I buy an AP today my year does not start until I activate it correct?

We have bought AP for years and they START the day you use them first in the turnstyle and are good for a year from that date. We often buy them and get a voucher and then take that to guest relations and get the actual AP when we arrive.

That is correct. I bought ours yesterday, and it is very clear on the voucher that the year starts when you activate it. It does say the voucher has to be redeemed by January 5, 2011, though.

The possibility of a price increase has my purchasing early. I was hoping to come across a gift card deal but I guess I'll just buy now.
