Hi everyone!

I´m posting this here and on the budget board:

I have seen some people write that they have been able to stay at the Paradise Pier for like $79 a night with their AP discount. Since we are going for 2 weeks in October and there are no blackout dates then, I was wondering if it would pay off to purchase the AP and be able to stay at a Disney hotel (which we can´t afford otherwise)?

Does anyone know what AP rates there are available for PP in October (Standard room)?

It seems I can´t see the deals on the Disneyland website unless I have already bought the AP's.

Are there any additional fees at the resorts other than parking?

Thanks everyone

Freyja

AP rates for October aren't available yet. I'm not sure when they will be announced, but not yet. I bought an AP in March for our trip and the rates were really good ($79 PP, $119 DLH, $159 GC). It was definitely worth it for us to buy one because we saved a lot of money. mousesavers.com will post the latest AP rates when they become available. Have a fun time planning your trip!

I don't think you have to have the AP when you make the reservation (this may have changed). You can wait until AP rates come out and then make your reservation and buy the AP. That way, if there aren't AP rates for the time you're going you won't be stuck with an AP (can you be stuck with an AP??).

Which one must you purchase, the Deluxe or Premium ($100 difference) in order to obtain an AP hotel rate? From what I can see on Mousesavers.com, the only difference is no blackout dates, but if I'm planning on going on a weekday in September or October, I don't see why I would need to get the Premium, unless I can't hotel discounts with just the Deluxe.

Any AP experts out there?

You can get the AP rate with either the Deluxe or Premium. I have a Premium and have had no problems getting the discount when it's offered.

We went in May and stayed at PPH for 79.00. At the time of reservation, i just let them know we were ordering our Aps off the internet and they just told me I had to activate it and have my picture taken before check in. I check in they never even asked for it, so I pulled it out at the end since I waited for 50 min in line for the picture.

They usually release the special AP Nights rates about a month prior. I think fall will be an easy time to get these rates.

Actually, I don't have the premium, I have the deluxe (the lesser version). I always get these mixed up! I have had no problem getting the discount with the deluxe pass.

Are there any additional fees at the resorts other than parking?

Actually, I don't think that PPH charges parking fees for guests.
