AOL stinks.

Now, not only do I not get the member letters -- I don't get the DIS messages on recent posts either!

Oh sure, DVC and DIS are "spam potential"... but the 30+ per day adds for bodily parts enlargement and mail-order Viagra aren't?!?

ANybody else with AOL also not getting DIS updates?

I have AOL and I get both the DVC Clubhouse letters and notice from DIS (I don't ask for e-mail notices to post replies).

I have AOL and I'm not getting any DIS mail either. I was wondering what was going on! Is there any way around it? I'm this close to dropping AOL......my DS keeps telling me I don't need it!

I don't have AOL (just the thoughts of AOL makes me break out in hives). My email notification on subscribed threads are a wee bit delayed. I get the DIS newsletter thingy about the same as usual though.

I have AOL and I don't get Dis or DVC stuff. I know I registered for DVC stuff because I sent them my EMail addy last month when they had their contest.
I do get "all ears" though, and the Passporter newsletter.

I have AOL, and for the most part I am happy with it. I do not got notices from DIS. I do however get a lot of other junk mail. I used to have a block so that no one other than my friends can email us, but I am trying to get in touch with some old friends via email, so I don't want to block them out! The pop-up blocker works well, except for some company with an ad that comes up as "Save Now."

I wish AOL would block its own pop-up ads when logging in through the AOL.com site.

I do receive notices about DIS posts, but I don't receive the DVC email at my AOL address

I signed up for AOL through Mypoints fully intending to keep it as I wasn't happy with MSN. Let's just say, I've gained a whole new appreciation for MSN--I cancelled AOL after just three days!

I am getting my dvc newsletter but not getting any notifications from the dis. I keep having to go back and find threads. I like being able to go directly to the thread from email. Maybe one day.......

yeah I have had the same problem for a few weeks now - called tech support - they were worthless - wrote tech support they were worthless - called billing she was ytterly useless with even canceling my account - then called one other billing rep and he at least knew who to get me in contact with - so I mail them and have not heard back from them in 3 days - so essentially they are worthless too - they sent me a slew of "rewards" that I can redeem for discounts on monthly service...but frankly.... aol is crap..I think at the end of this billing cycle I will probably change providers

Yeah, they offered me rewards to get free service through November...
...we don't want it...not even for free.

I did consider...think of all that money I could have put towards Disney! But, I'd rather buy one less Christmas present or something!

Even my kids asked if we could please get rid of AOL!

I have AOL(via cable modem Roadrunner) and haven't recieved any DIS,DVC, notifications, e-mails,etc in 4 days ! For some reason AOL is blocking a lot of our mail from the DIS because they think it is SPAM.

The Technical people here on the DIS are aware of the problem. Alex(DIS-WEB Master-Administrator) has been on the phone with AOL numerous times in the last 2-4 weeks for hours. It gets fixed than a few days later our e-mails get blocked again. The problem is definately with AOL.

Hopfully this problem will be fixed soon. I would drop AOL but our 17 yr old DD would be upset. Plus we only pay $3 a month for AOL , because GM employees get it at a very reduced rate(normally $23 month).

AOL definitely is the pits. Got rid of it years ago. But during that brief time the DIS was down, I learned the easiest way to keep up on threads you are involved in and/or subscribed to is thru your user CP. I like this method so much better that I'm thinking of having the e-mail notifications discontinued. But then the only thing LEFT in my inbox would be

I get sooooo many of these EVERY day. If anyone knows how to stop them, please DO TELL!!! I've tried "unsubscribe", then they just seem to multiply from other senders!

actually hitting unsubscribe is the biggest mistake you can make. They send out millions of these just guessing at what might be a real email address. when you hit unsubscribe they know they have a real address and they bury you in their stuff.
