AoA or SSR - Can't decide!

Hi! I'm heading to WDW in January for 5 nights for the WDW Marathon! It will be either me solo or with 1 friend.

Pricing out AoA Little Mermaid room with the Marathon discount and SSR studio using rented points makes for a difference of about $150 total.

I really can't decide!

AoA would be great because of 2 actual beds instead of 1 bed and 1 sofabed, daily housekeeping, brand new resort.

But SSR is a deluxe resort, so I assume the quality is nicer.

I'll probably have a rental car, so transportation is not too much of an issue.

I would go for AoA. We stayed at SSR in a studio and I didn't care for it at all. I've seen a few people on DIS compare SSR to a moderate so I don't think its as nice as some of the other deluxes. It definitley didn't compare to the Beach Club. Unless having a fridge and microwave are very important, I would go for the new resort and save the $150.

ssr is gorgeous and is a much better than any value...yes aoa is still a value resort.

Agreed... SSR is a beautiful resort with two main pool areas and boat to DTD

And while AOA is new it is a value hotel therefore less amenities
