AOA is the Little Mermaid section to far away from everything?

It is a fair distance from everything except the LM POOL, not too bad if you have older kids but a long walk for little ones.

Is the little mermaid to far a walk from the bus stop and food court etc?

from the Ariel Icon (farthest building in LM zone, it's 450 yards to the Food Court's door.
Transportation are just out of the door on the other side of the building.

from the entrance of the LM zone to the food court's door, it's 300 yards

I don't think that 450 yard qualifies as being "far far away".

as a comparison, building 2 icon (jukebox) at POP is 275 yards away from the food court.
90s icon (computer) to food court at POP is 450 yards cutting through the parking lot (same distance as LM to food court)

It is a fair distance from everything except the LM POOL, not too bad if you have older kids but a long walk for little ones.

let me daftly suggest that if little ones can't cope with a 400 yards walk to the food court, they'll probably need a stroller to cope with 10 miles a day in the parks. So that won't be an issue if the kid has a ride :)

Let's look at it this way.....you have a better chance of being much closer to the food court and buses if you stayed at any value other then a LM room at AofA. Plus you have the opportunity to pay a bit extra for a preferred room at the other values which are generally even closer to food court/buses. :)

We are staying in a LM room at AoA next year. I thought long and hard about it before booking. One thing I did was checked it out on Google earth to see what the distance actually looked like. Also from reading around I discovered that if you hire a car you can cheat and drive round from the LM area to the main area and park there. Useful for checking in and out and also when getting buses to and from parks.

Remember that you will walk miles at the parks so in comparison it's not far. Also there is lots to look at on the walk as it goes through the lion king area and the nemo area. I guess you have to weigh it up and decide whether it's right for you and your family ☺

We found it no problem at all to walk from the bus to our LM room.
It's also good being able to park almost right outside the LM section - a very short walk if you're driving back to the resort.

we found it a very easy walk. We were about the furthest away you could possibly be!

in reality it only takes a few minutes to walk from that section to the food court at an average pace...it really is not that far in the scheme of things.:) We didn't think that any part of AoA was that much of a walk really.

We found it to be a 5min walk and a relaxing pretty one at that,
My boys even used to get up and go grab a drink in their mugs without us and it only ever took them 15 mins....

We didn't find it too far and we had 2 walking disabled people with us one of which walked it a couple of times and was ok with it.

Also if you walk behnd the LK hotel on the carpark side you can cut straight to the busses. It only cuts few mins off but if you are in a hurry to get back it is worth it.
