AoA & Discounts

Hey all!

First, a preface to make it known that I'm not here looking for clairvoyancy but instead past trends.

That said, I have read some on Free-Dining and it seems to be that in the past AoA is not generally included in this offer. My question is: is AoA usually not part of the Room-Only discounts of 25% or whatever the percentage may be?

We will be staying in a Little Mermaid (It's a whole new world for us as first timers so I felt it fitting. See what I did there?) room and not one of the suites, if that makes a difference.

My second question is: do Room-Only discount date trends seem to follow those of Free-Dining? Which is to say, if I'm planning a trip for 2014's F&W should I keep an eye out for these Room-Only offers as well?

My last question (thank you for your patience!) is: other than a Disney Visa how might one be notified of discount deals/be sent codes?

The mermaid rooms have been excluded from everything offered, it the suites have been included in most things. Right now the suites are only included in the RO discount that just came out. There's a very tiny chance anything would open up for the mermaid rooms in the near future.

As far as discounts, the Dis is usually the best place to find out about upcoming deals, what they are, and their release dates. Officially, the special offers page on the Disney website will show any deals being offered and when they are for. As far as pin codes go, they are random. As long as you are in Disney's system you're eligible. They typically come via email from Disney Destinations or snail mail. You can also call and ask if you have one attached to your name.
