Currently booked in a Lion King AoA suite with 5 people. Me (34), DS(4), Grandma (60), niece (12) and step-nephew (13) for 5 nights in June. When browsing today I noticed that BWI has a room that sleeps 5 and OKW has a one bedroom that sleeps 5, both for about $50 more a night. How are the daybed at BWI and the sleeper couch and chair at OKW? Especially compared to the sleeper couch and murphy bed at AoA? I love the over-the-top Disney theme at AoA, location of BWI and size of OKW. We are doing one park per day for four days, doing each park once. Will take a mid-day break at the resort each day. First trip to WDW for niece, first Disney ever for nephew, 2nd WDW for DS, 5th WDW for Grandma (she's a DLR pro) and countless for me. Sleeping groups will be me with DS, Grandma with niece and nephew solo. If we did OKW, could be me, DS and Grandma in king and niece and nephew both solo. AoA and POP make me a bit nervous because I spent one night in non-refurbished at POP before moving to YC last Sept and it was awful! I never thought of myself as a hotel snob until that night. I used to always stay at the Best Western in Disney Springs. If you've stuck with me this long, thanks! Any opinions and insight are greatly appreciated!

OKW is a great option. Rooms are huge! Request a room in the Hospitality House area. It is very closes to the Pool, buses, dining and check in. Quick boat ride to DS as well.

The AoA family suite has actual two rooms (with a door separating them) and two bathrooms - which may be nice with that many people. There's one "master bedroom" with the queen and a bathroom. The other room has a bathroom, pull out sofa and the pull down murphy bed from the table - which my 6 year old daughter loved sleeping on.

You can add me to the list of hotel snobs. One night at AoA and I wanted out. AoA is a value just like POP. Don't let the words "family suite" fool you. It's just an overly large value room.

My choice would be BWI. You will have a nice sized room, very comfortable beds (I've slept on the daybeds in the deluxes and they are quite comfortable!), a great resort with a fun theme, nice pool and evening entertainment, plus you will be within walking and boating distance to two parks and countless restaurants. I think it will make park touring really convenient and you will all be in comfortable beds.

okw 1 bedroom has a full kitchen and balcony. to me those are the biggest selling points along with the size and the laundry room. the only problem is, I believe, there are only 2 sleep surfaces in the living room, so grandmother might have to share a bed an your niece.

I've stayed at all of your choices. The 1BR units at OKW are HUGE but I didn't love how spread out the resort was. I would pick BWI for location. Daybed is very comfy.

That's not a request but a booking category for points stays. It isn't available for cash stays. Most of the buildings at OKW do not have elevators. So plan on taking the stairs unless you request a ground floor.
