Monday 27th

I slept until 11am, Andy was up about 9.30. We tidied up a bit then decided to head to Animal Kingdom so I could get the LE Christmas pin. Animal Kingdom was absolutely heaving, I have never seen it so packed!

I managed to get my pin at Island Mercantile as well as a few others. We still hadn’t seen Festival of the Lion King so we decided to try and get in for the next show. Not a hope in hell, even though we were over half an hour early. Andy was hungry so we thought we’d try a later showing. We’d passed Pizzafari on the way to Festival of the Lion King so we thought we’d try it. It was 1.30pm so it was very busy. We queued for about 20 minutes before getting to the till to order our food. We both had the deli sandwich with plain crisps and we shared some breadsticks with marinara sauce, yum. It was all so good!

Andy wanted to try Primeval Whirl so we headed for Dinoland USA. As we neared Dinoland, we noticed Tarzan Rocks was due to start in 15 minutes so we went to see if we could get in. We did – a lot of people were standing at the top but we decided to go down the steps to see if we could find some seats. A CM was finding seats for people and found us two but the 3 people in the row refused to budge down, nor let us past them. The CM got irate with and had a go at them and eventually, they let us through by ever so slightly moving their legs – they then shot us dirty looks throughout the show. And a Merry Christmas to you too Scrooge! We ignored them and thoroughly enjoyed the show. The music was great as I love the songs from the movie.

My only gripe would be that there’s not enough Tarzan and Jane but it’s a great show anyway.

From here, we headed to Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama so Andy could ride Primeval Whirl.

The wait was 20 minutes so I waited near the ride start so I could get a photo of hubby riding it. Well, I would’ve got one if I hadn’t stood on the fast pass side, as 20 minutes later hubby appeared by my side having taken his ride and really enjoying it. Doh! I hadn’t realised there were 2 different sides to it. Ah well!

It was time to head back to Camp Minnie Mickey for Festival of the Lion King.

I spotted Lilo and Stitch and I’ve never had my photo taken with both of them before so we joined the line. We stood in line for about 5 minutes before the CM decided to tell us that the line had indeed been closed before we joined it. You couldn’t have told us that when we’d joined the line pal? There was a queue of people behind us too. We carried on walking and got in line for the show.

We queued for a few minutes at the front and were then showed into the empty arena. It’s huge! We had an excellent view of the middle. We both truly loved the show, it’s out of this world! The acrobatics are brilliant. We were sat in the giraffe section.

Andy filmed the show and I took about 50 photos – oops! I would recommend this show to everyone, it’s fantastic. I loved it when they grabbed the kids to join them playing instruments and being walked round the arena. There was a boy of around 13ish if not older with Downs Syndrome in our section and they chose him to walk round playing the bongos, oh he looked like he was having the time of his life! There was a huge smile on his face as he jumped round playing his bongos, it really bought a tear to the eye.

By the time the show finished it was nearing 6pm and we were both hungry and bushed. We got the tram back to the car and then headed to Olive Garden for dinner. There were so many people, both inside and outside the restaurant. I’d never seen anything like it! We were told it would be a 20 minute wait – we actually waited 45 minutes and spent more time queuing than actually eating! We both had the minestrone soup which was very tasty, Andy had the lasagna and I had the Tour of Italy again as I couldn’t choose what else to have. 35 minutes later, we were back in the car and heading for Pop Century. I was fast asleep by 10pm.

Great photos (yet again), we haven't been to Animal Kingdom for a few years, and I really enjoy the shows too. Great photo of Expedition Everest.

I love FOTLK :) I would give Animal Kingdom a miss if it wasn't for this show (not that my children would let me, LOL)

Fab Anz, the new ride looks very exciting, any idea when it will be ready.

I think it's supposed to be opening around April 2006? I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be open in time for my trip with my mum and her fella, coz I know both hubby and mum's fella Jez can't wait to ride it.

FOTLK is my favourite show too! And I agree there's not enough Tarzan in TR (you can keep Jane IMHO ;) )
