Anytime FPs

In the past when I have gone to DL when I got Maxpass if a ride broke down that I had a Fastpass for at the time I got an anytime FP for any ride in the park. I heard a while ago they were going to create “tiers” for anytime FPs. Have they done that and if so, what are the tiers in each park?

There aren't "tiers" per se, but you click on the replacement fastpass and it says what rides you can use it on.

For DL if Indy, Space Mountain, or Matterhorn Breakdown, I think you can use it any other ride that has fastpass. But if a ride like Haunted Mansion goes down, it excludes Space and Matterhorn. Can't remember if it excludes Indy

For DCA if RSR, TSMM, or Guardians goes down, you can use it on any ride; But if say Goofy goes down, it excludes RSR and TSMM, but doesn't exclude Guardians.

*This could change or not be 100% accurate, but I notice this whenever I get replacement fastpasses for rides it follows this pattern*

Today BTMRR broke down. We were allowed to ride BTMRR, buzz lightyear, roger rabbit or star tours. There was one other option but I can’t remember what.

So, they can change what the replacement FPs work for on a day-by-day basis. For instance, Matterhorn has only been operating one side, so it used to be offered as a replacement for ANY FP, but lately its only been a replacement for Space and IJ, I think? (And it’s down right now anyway, but that’s just an example of how they tinker with it.)

Moral of the story: click on the replacement and see what’s offered.

Here’s a little hack I learned throughout the years.
If you are staying nearby and will come back the following day.
Try to get a FP for Indiana Jones late in the evening. Like 11pm to close.

most likely it will go down around that time and your FP will good for any ride the next morning.

I love doing this because I get an extra FP the
next morning.

Ooh, I like that. And if it does stay open during that whole time, it’s a FP for IJ and that’s always good!
