Anything to Do In/Near Vero in Early Dec?

So the dust has settled on the 1st week of Dec bookings...and I'm less than triumphant

We're thinking of checking out Vero. Is there anything to do around the area in December? It's probably not warm enough to swim, right? Thanks.
