Anything special to keep in mind for November visit?

A recent comment to someone planning an October trip, to be aware of HHN when choosing days to visit, made me wonder about our trip. We'll be in Orlando the week before Thanksgiving and will plan to spend two days at UOR, probably booking one night at a deluxe to get the two days' EPs. When choosing which two days that week (Monday-Friday), anything we need to be aware of other than what the cost of EPs is for those days? TIA!

The week before Thanksgiving is my favorite time to visit Orlando theme parks. My experience in Universal Studios in 2019 was that of low crowds and walk-on for most of the trip. I was glad I didn't get an EP as it would have been useless. I don't know if this year will be different. The various crowd calendars forecast the typical lower crowds, but both crowds and staffing may be more difficult to predict this year. However, I still doubt that EP will be highly valuable on weekdays.

We were there last year 11/13-11/17 and that was the first weekend of their Holiday stuff. Not all of the offerings were available yet, but most were and it was a nice surprise. We had a great time.

This is our favorite time of year to visit UO. We've been 3 of the last 4 years, and are trying to go again this year. They do a great job with the decorations, and the parks are great to visit at night because of the earlier sunset.

11/15-11/19 looks to have lots of APH rooms available (https://res.windsurfercrs.com/ibe/d...ls=&ada=0&currid=1&vouchercode=&attendeeCode=), so that likely means the parks won't be super crowded. I can tell you that the next week (Thanksgiving) has almost no availability in the deluxe resorts, and will be slammed.

The APH rate will likely save $200 per night over the standard rate, so you should consider getting at least one Annual Pass. You can book the rate without having the AP; you can wait to buy it until you arrive at the parks if you'd like. While you may not need EPs, the fact that you get 2 days of EPs for up to 5 people makes the deluxe resort a good way to ensure that you'll avoid any lines.

What days are you going specifically? Will the Orlando Informer meetup on November 19-20 overlap your visit? I'm not sure if it's earlier than usual, but the parks are stated to be closing at 7pm and 8pm respectively that weekend, just fyi.

Thanks - as it turned out, I'll be at UOR earlier in November than I originally thought, the week of the 7th, spending two days in the UOR parks. So I appreciate everyone's suggestions and comments!
