Hi all! I'm planning an October honeymoon in WDW of 2008 and had some questions! I've already seen the packages they have available for honeymoons that can come with dining, tickets to events, tours, etc. Is there anything else that can be done for Honeymooners? One of my friends said she read about special fireworks viewings, after-hours photos in front of the castle, and more but I can't seem to find any of these types of things on their websites! Does anyone know if there are special things for honeymooners? Let me know! :)

Thanks a bunch

Hi! I was a Disney-mooner almost 2 years ago now, and I can help some. You can't do the afterhours photo sessions unless you do a DFTW or vow renewal. You can do honeymoon photo sessions, in regular clothes, during regular park hours (although the EPCOT one might be before WS opens, can't remember).

There are lots of opportunities for pixie dust, such as special fireworks seating, but these are NOT guaranteed. Wear the ears, wear the buttons, and enjoy the congratulations. Some people literally get no pixie dust other than congratulations, some people get things for free, the special seating, etc. We were somewhere in the middle. It's just luck of the draw. It was so much fun either way!

Definitely go get the free buttons from Guest Services, though!

Thanks! I wasn't sure how any of it worked because you hear so many different stories from all different people! I'm just curious to see what other experiences Disney honeymooners had!

if you search the board and type things like "honeymoon ideas" etc. you will find tons of other threads on this topic. good luck :thumbsup2

We are going on our disneymoon this October and I cannot wait! One thing I am most excited about is our last night at the Coral Reef restaurant.... through reading several of the message boards on this site, I found that if you contact the restaurant (ask for Debbie!), request to book a diver to hold up a sign that says whatever you would like (i chose happy honeymoon jenna and john!) and also she will you give you her email address and you can send her several pictures of the two of you as well as a personalized message(I wrote "Of all the fish in the sea, i'm so happy you married me!") And they will make you a personalized menu!!! I am not telling my fiance about any of this so it will be a huge surprise and a memorable last night at disney!!!! Also I am thinking about booking a carriage ride around port orleans resort, you can also do a illuminations cruise.... book the California Grill at the Contemporary Resort around the time of the fireworks and you will have a great romantic view of the Magic Kingdom! hope this helps, have a great time!

My fiance and I went on a Disney vacation after we got engaged - we wore the bride and groom ears and everywhere we went we got free popcorn, free soda, vip seating for fantasmic, the parade in MK, tons of attention from all the cast members. My fiance even wore his ears at the airport on the way home and we got a bottle of champaigne from Southwest. So keep those ears on!princess:
