Years ago DH and I went to WCC and were completely oblivious to the antics they pull until we sat down. The ketchup thing happened at a couple of tables and after watching that we decided to remain quiet and low key. Things went well until the end of the meal when the server asked if we wanted dessert. We'd enjoyed a good amount of food and were completely stuffed so DH says to her "No thanks. I'm bloated." I don't think he meant to say it that way or if he meant to say it at all, but all of a sudden she yells out to the entire restaurant - "Excuse me everybody. This gentleman says he's bloated." Everybody busted up laughing of course and DH turned three shades of red. Poor guy.

When our waiter "Bullfrog" took our order, I asked for a side order of broccoli.

Well, when the food came, it was a HUGE PLATEFUL of broccoli. I could not even eat half of it - and I love the stuff.

Bullfrog came over to the table & asked my DD11 for my name.

He then announced to the entire restaurant that I'd ordered broccoli & couldn't finish it. Then with the entire restaurant watching, he SPOON FED ME SOME!!

I wanted to die!!

** BTW, we're eating there again in 2 weeks & I will not be ordering an extra side order of anything this time!!

yes and it was all my Father's fault!!

My DH and I arrived a day before my parents and they were going to call and tell us when they were thre (they were driving)

Well my cell phone rings while at breakfast and our server told everyone in the restaurant they had to be quiet because I was on my cell phone!

Needless to say, I told Dad I would call him back! :rotfl2:

(on another trip, I did get a cool headband with feathers (straws) It is fun there!

We were really wanting a cool server, but we didn't get one. The only thing he did was throw the straws at us when we first sat down. That is it! I felt bad for my girls because they kept looking at the other kids with napkin hats etc.... :sad2:

We are going here for the food only. :cool1: Bottomless milkshakes = :cloud9: dd thinks all u can eat ribs = :cloud9: I just love cornbread :goodvibes

we reallly had a great time at WCC. We got the "feather" headbands, straws thrown at us, ketchup calls, and my DS got a "Jesus Christ" coke!! It was a bucket!! But, my DD was a little embarassed when the waiter kept trying to fix her up with a boy at another table that was her age (14)!! It looked like the boy was embarassed as well. She knew it was all in fun, and is still willing to go back, so I guess it wasn't too embarassing for her!!! :goodvibes

Well, my dd and I ate there a year ago...and loved it. My dd is pretty outgoing and has no problem with joining in on the fun to be had at these places. So, when they called all the kids up to 'have some fun' I suggested she go...but, she wasn't thrilled. So, I tell her..Hey what's the worst that can happen? come on, go, have fun, make some memories. Ah yeah, righ.....off she goes. Gets in line with the other kids. Now, she was 11 then, and tall for her age. I figured the other older kids were going up also, but they didn't!! Poor thing...they gave all these kids (for the most part about 8 y/o)wooden horses and made them gallop around the restaurant. My poor dd...she was mortified, but thought it would look worse if she just sat down, so off she galloped. Well....you should have seen the withering looks she gave me as she past the table. We're going back in 2 weeks, but she won't be joining the fun, so to speak. And mom will keep her big yap shut!!!!

There was a boy (11-13) who was practically crying he was so mortified that they were trying to hook him up with a GIRL! (I did feel a little bad for him.)

Be sure to ask for a large ice water... last time I got a bucket... and the announcement to get outta my way if I'm heading toward the restroom. I didn't mind... that's the third time I've asked for a large ice water and each time it has gotten bigger and bigger. :teeth:

Though this wan't on purpose...

On my mother's birthday last year our server was rushing by with salads, slipped, and dropped the platter which caused the salad (with the oil staining dressing) to spray all over my mother including her hair and brand new expensive shirt. The staff did a bunch of antics after this and then the server presented my mother with a Grumpy shirt because he was sure she was Grumpy after this.

We did pay for our meal which thinking back you would have thought they would have offered to at least comp her meal. She was mortified over the whole deal and just wanted out of the restaurant.

What a memorable birthday.....

OMG, your poor mother! Too bad they handled it so poorly.

We went for my in laws anniversary. Both of them are very reserved people, so needless to say our server announces to the entire place that for their anniversary we should see if they still have that "spark" So they get my inlaws up and a couple on their honeymoon for a kissing contest. My inlaws wanted to die. We are going back in August and my inlaws made me promise no surprises this time...Right?

We had been to WCC several times leading up to this particular time so we knew sorta how to fend off the obvious antics of the waiters, eat a good meal, and relish in the un-suspecting folks dismays.

Well, there was this fella sittin right behind us who happened to have a Bday. The waiter could tell he was real shy, so he made him get up, ride a pony around the restaurant, all the while singing Happy Birthday to himself, but loud enough the rest of us could hear him. The waiter was hollerin, we cant hear you, if we cant hear you, you have to do it again.

Well my usually quiet DW who never says things outta the way, blurts out to the waiter, yeah, make him do it again, we cant hear him. Wrong thing to say!! The waiter makes my DW get up, ride the pony around, and sing Happy Birthday to this fella she aint never seen before. Needless to say, she sang loud enough that we could clearly hear her clean on the other side of a very crowded restaurant.

I asked my somewhat shy DW when she got back to the table why she sang so loud. She informed me she was scared if she didnt, they might make her go out to the lobby and do it! :rotfl2:

And Im usually the one in this family who puts his big foot in his mouth! :lmao:

I actually got setup with a 6ish year old (I was probably 27 at the time) one night. I had the S'Mores dessert, which wasn't on the menu at the time, but I asked the chef for it. Well the little boy was making eyes at my dessert and the server noticed, so the server asked if the little boy could share my dessert. I invited the little boy over to sit at our table, which he was mortified about, but the server was making a big deal to the other patrons in the restaurant that this little boy likes older women and that he was making eyes at me (not the dessert). He relented (with mom & dad's permission), came over, tried my dessert and was obviously tired, so the server got him a blanket and me a book so I could read him a bed-time story. It was so cute!!! He actually let me read to him and ended up falling asleep on a bench behind our table. One of the best nights I've ever had at WCC.

I know people love these antics and think they are funny, but we just avoid those pranks like the plague....

We ate there once and sat there quietly afraid that we were going to be embarrassed in some way by our castmember....we never asked for anything, just ate what they gave us, and got out fast, never to go back.

Give me a relaxing restaurant anytime. :)

we dined there on one of our trips. :) We had the usual things like DH asked for a large iced tea and we got the bucket, DS dropped his fork so we asked for another and he got a BIG wooden fork etc. My favorite was at the end of the meal though. DH gave the server a credit card and he goes to the back. A minute later he yells from the back "MR. H______!!!! THERE'S A PROBLEM WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD!!!!" The color starts to drain from DH's face and he has this look of wanting to crawl under the table as our server comes out waving the check over his head saying "IT STILL WORKS!!! YOU NEED TO GET SPENDING TODAY!" :lmao:

Last October we were at WDW celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary. My husband told our very funny server "Maverick" that it was our anniversary........well Maverick made me ride a stick pony around the dining room while singing "You are my Sunshine" to him. My husband filmed the whole thing too! It is such a fun place. You just have to remember that you are on vacation, have fun and most of all you will never have to see the people that are in the restaurant again!

My husband was the focus of the room when we went for breakfast... all the ketchup, he got yelled at for looking too tired, etc. He tried to keep a happy spirit but they started to annoy both of us. The kids loved it. I won't go back.

at least 4 meals there....nope...nothing embarrassing....

just a whole lot of good clean american fun....nothing more

enjoy,
Esmerelda :goodvibes
