Anything new on POFQ?

Anything new on when POFQ will open? Last I read was late spring or summer . . .

I don't think any date has been officially released. I am looking for this too. We want to stay there Thanksgiving week and are waiting around to make res. to see when it reopens. If it isn't announced by March, we will definitely go ahead and make res. elsewhere and then change them if it reopens.
The last rumor I read was spring/summer.

When we stayed at POR in November the CMs were saying they were trying to get it opened to meet the demands of March spring break. They weren't sure if it was going to happen but that is what they were hoping.

The boat driver said they were not only just redoing the inside of the rooms but also redid the plumbing, all the fixtures, etc.... everything inside and outside the rooms. We are going the end of February but they didn't think it would be open by then.

Are they redoing the pool also? New furniture & beds? I really like that resort...can't wait to see it reopen.

The CM didn't say anything about the pool. When we went by it I didn't see any major changes but you can't see a lot from the boat. I would imagine they will refinish the surface, etc. but don't know if they are changing anything.

And, yes, according to the CM they are doing all new furniture, TV, fixture, etc. It should be nice. We stayed in it the first year it opened and I remember how nice it was then. I am thinking it will be restored to the same and perhaps better. We will have to see.

There is a small room photo of the remodelled rooms on the Walt Disney world website. The sinks look the same type, but the beds look new.
