Anything new in the parks?

We made our first Christmas trip last year -- the year they *didn't* have the Osborne lights! This October we don't need to do Halloweeny stuff; we'll only be there a couple of days and I was wondering if I should try and fit in any parks besides Epcot. I doubt that Stitch will make its so-called October opening, so other than the Epcot Food & Wine festival I'm not sure if anything is new from last year in the other parks that we'd want to see on this trip. Thanks for any info :)

I saw somewhere that Stitch was planning to open on Oct 1...

otherwise--MK is minimally decorated during the day--but for some reason I remember reading/seeing/hearing that they redecorate each evening of MNSSHP and then undecorate before the parks open. Then again, I could be imagining things.

Our Vacation Magic magazine said Stitch was opening in October, but other posts said November so I am skeptical, especially since a call to Member Services (DVC) did not elicit any more information (she said their script says nothing about the opening or preview dates).

Mickey's Philharmagic is a really good attraction. It is in the MK. It was not open last year but this year it was.

It was open when we went last year (Christmastime). I'm glad we saw it -- it was great!

It really was good! Maybe its just me - but I feel that Donald really is not showcased that much - it was nice to see him in an attraction!

Every time we go to WDW we find new people in the parks!;)
